State HR agency helping military spouses

North Carolina is joining the Military Spouse Transition Network to help state employees who move between states because of their spouse’s redeployment in the military, the Office of State Human Resources announced last week.

Short session to wrap by July 1?

During a brief no-vote session on Wednesday, House Speaker Tim Moore reiterated a promise that this year’s short session will actually be short. Noting that last year’s long stretched on far beyond what anyone wanted, “as long as that was, we want this to be as short,” he told lawmakers.
